Thanks Erik Bendl for fighting for Diabetes

I would like to thank Erik Bendl for walking over 2200 miles and 23 states for diabetes.

Erik Bendl watched his mother die of diabetes complications at 54 and thought what a young age for a person to die and wanted to do something about it.

As a diabetic person that knows first hand how painful it is to watch a person die in front of you with this disease is me. My mother died with her children and family around her in Nov 2006 as her kidneys failed first and than her heart rate went down to nothing.

As her child and seeing this knowing that I didn't want this to be my end as well is fighting everyday with this disease. I got this disease and other complications when I had my son Matthew in 2000. It was a hard 7 months because that is how long the doctor let me carry him until my body went into distress.  I took 9 shots a day and when healthcare was a little caring I went to the doctor every weekday.  My son was so worth it!!!

As of today my insulin is toxic and that makes me insulin resistance.  I was checked into the hospital 2 weeks ago with my sugar levels at 700+.  My heart rate was off the chart they thought I was having a heart attack but it was fluid in the lung and an infection also in my lung.  I had too much sugar and protein in my urine and other complications. The reason I am sharing is that there are so many other complications that comes with this disease diabetes.

If someone that you know have this disease please support them and always check on them because it is a disease that can cause depression.

Oh back to Erik Bendl  I forget to you tell you he rolls the world around with him (6-foot high sphere made of canvas ) and walks this amazing walk with his dog Nice!  Thanks you Erik again......

Our Kids Are Being Taught All Year For CRCT

I am a firm believer that we teach our kids in America for the CRCT test that comes in April of each year and that's it.

I have a problem with No Child Left Behind program that we are not helping our kids compete in the world market for jobs and a better lifestyle than their parents.

Every year we make our kids tense and stress about a test that gets the school a gold star and doesn't truly show the child's progress. 

I am a fortune parent that child lives in a great neighbor because when I was pregnant I researched the area and the school district was and still is great.

But we are not teaching our kids everyday skills that is not directly involving the CRCT test. This saddens me and this needs to be changed!!

We Have Stop Being a Political Machine

We are in a dangerous time that we are not protected because people are angry and hurt with were the American government is right now.

Whether Sarah Palin is to blame or not we have to be very careful because we have stop being a political machine but a political machine gun and people are taking things literal with their so called leaders and have started acting on them.

We are not united in anything and it is a verbal battle with the rich and the poor.  And no one is winning!!

I have always thought that Sarah Palin has spoken out of turn and was not smart or experienced enough to be in politics. In the future I hope she will start choosing her words and action better.

I can't wait for what Elisabeth Hasselback will say on The View tomorrow???

I also want to send prayers and hope to the victims and familes that was hurt in this tragedy. 

Prayers for a young life that wanted to follow in U.S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in her home district nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green who was among those killed in the tragic shooting in Tucson, Ariz. on Saturday.

Thank you Mr President for the signing of the bill for the 9/11 respondents for their healthcare and all the things that they deserve for their bravery.


When I saw that with no fanfare and on vacation it was signed I was so happy by President Obama willingness to do the right thing!!!

I was happy that this didn't linger and 2011 started off right.  We have so much we need to fix but when you think of the things that with no fanfare that President Obama has done in his term I am not hoodwinked with the games that are being played in Washington and know that Obama and Biden have the heart of champions.


Washington DC has a good look with the 1st Family living there with The Bidens next door.

How Did We Get Here With Our Veterans

I am disturbed but prayerful for our over 9,000 Veterans that are homeless in this year 2010 and into the new year 2011.

How did we get here with our veterans that risked and some gave their lives for us in a war for oil and found no weapons of mass destruction and they have no homes right now.

Once again America we have got to come together not with money but with prayers for the troops.  This story should have been first page but I found it buried on the back pages with simply no hope for them.

What are we doing that the government don't have time to find housing for these brave veterans?  They found housing in the desert for them under war conditions in tents and terrible sewage problems.  This just makes no sense to me.

These questions can't be answered by me but I will do the most powerful thing I know and ask My Father to give them relief in this new year 2011 and unlimited blessing for now and forever!!!!

We All Deserve a Second Chance

I am a very BIG supporter of my President Barack Obama.  I am very proud to that he could call and say that he don't support the crime that Michael Vick did but he appreciate that the Eagle's gave him a second chance.

I think that is what American's are missing.  A second chance to prove that we can make this country what it was and should be.  We have got to bring jobs and security back to this great country of ours.

We have hungry children and misplaced adults looking for a second chance.

Short blog that simply say we are driving this country into the ground for the all mighty dollar!  We need to pass some bills in Congress that say if  you don't stop shipping our jobs oversea no tax breaks or bailouts anymore!!!

We Place Americans Last in America

I have been watching how Congress was going to handle the 9/11 first response workers who risked their lives and showed us what doing for our country as a civilian was like.  These firefighters and policemen made me proud that they put other's first.

I know exactly were I was when the towers went down and saw the aftermath looking like a third world war torn country but it was the USA. I was afraid but nothing compared to the fear these brave men and women went through.

I have seen Congress telling these 9/11 first responders that their health care and their conditions due to the unsafe air (when it was told to them it was safe) was only worth the bravery for 2001 and handle everything else yourself in the future because we can't do anymore for you.

These people have cancer in the lung and other places in their body and were told that they were in fact dying in vain because they don't have the right to ask their government to help them when they helped all of us and did us proud.  Even when they trusted the government when they said the AIR WAS INDEED CLEAN.

America we have got to stop pulling Americans last; we have got to stop rushing to help other countries when we have sick and hungry adults and children right here in the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

I would like to take the time to tell the first response worker I thank you now and I thank you then.  I pray that you and your families days on this earth are a little brighter because Congress finally are giving you what YOU DESERVE.

The legacy that you have left for me as an American is not a tragedy that will not be remembered by me and so many others that are not even from NY but know that it was an attacked on all of us!
